We're very pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas Mazzei to our Board of Trustees.
Nicholas is a retired Army Officer who moved from the Armed Forces into Corporate Responsibility at BT and then Rothschild and Co. Having served nine years as an Army Education officer, including operational deployments in Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Afghanistan, Nicholas joined BT on their corporate fast track programme, with his first two years running a strategic IT transformation programme in Openreach.
In 2016 Nicholas took over as Head of BT MyDonate and Charities, with a remit for modernising the CSR programme’s technology and platforms. This included the revitalising of the volunteering offer and the partnership with Doit.life. Nicholas led at the Skills Exchange, a group of companies and DCMS focused on driving up skilled based volunteering across the UK. In 2020 Nicholas went to Rothschild and Co to lead on the delivery of their volunteering strategy and on the creation of a new philanthropy and impact investment function in Wealth Management.
Reacting to his appointment, Nick said,
"I’m very excited to join the foundation on my first trustee appointment. I’ve worked closely with Jamie and the Doit.life team for over three years, and have a keen interest in helping the transformation of the third sector through digital technology"
